Energy plans rapid growth and modernisation
The year 2025 was exceptionally successful for our division from both a financial and operational perspective. We achieved significant growth in production, revenue and profitability, and our overall results significantly exceeded the original plan. EBITDA reached CZK 1.7 billion, with our operations in Ukraine being the main driver of this outstanding performance.
In the E&P sector, we continued to develop our existing operations in the Czech Republic and Austria, whilst also securing two new exploration and production licences in Ukraine, where we drilled and brought into production a total of ten new wells and completed the production infrastructure on the Tynivská licence. Total oil and gas production reached 310,000 COE (crude oil equivalent), and we succeeded in discovering new 2P reserves amounting to 240,000. In the Czech Republic, we also successfully continued our programme to decommission redundant wells.
Another important milestone was the preparation and successful auditing of the first ESG report for the entire MND Group. At the same time, we opened new offices in Lviv and commenced extensive modernisation of the Úprkov site in Hodonín.
In 2026, we will focus primarily on the further development and stabilisation of key activities in the E&P sector, particularly in Ukraine. We plan to produce approximately 377,000 COE of oil and natural gas, of which 244,000 COE will be in this region. In Ukraine, we intend to drill a further ten new exploration and production wells and carry out 3D seismic surveys on newly acquired licences.
The strategic objective remains the development of existing licences, and we will also focus intensively on building a portfolio for growth in the coming years. Our ambition in Ukraine is to build, in the medium term, a production portfolio targeting an annual production volume of one billion cubic metres of gas.
In the Czech Republic, 2026 will be marked by the optimisation of E&P activities, the utilisation of all economically viable resources, the improvement of operational efficiency, and the continuation of the campaign to decommission individual wells. We will continue to develop new business activities in the energy sector, particularly in the areas of battery storage, electricity generation and Gas-to-Power projects. We intend to focus more on opportunities in Ukraine and, newly, in Poland as well.
We will once again prioritise the quality of our working environment, complete the new operational building in Dambořice and revitalise the Úprkov site.
We will also continue our CSR activities in both the Czech Republic and Ukraine. In Ukraine, this will include continued cooperation with the Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Partnership Foundation. We will also continue our support for war veterans and our cooperation with the University of Ivano-Frankivsk. In the Czech Republic, we will continue with projects focused on supporting local communities, education and cooperation with local partners. We are now getting involved in projects focused on public discussions on current issues affecting society as a whole.

Oil on the rails
Four times more crude oil than before is sent by MND from the Lusatian railway station to Kralupy nad Vltavou these weeks. The reason for this is the termination of transport via the Druzhba pipeline. All the crude oil produced must be transported by tanker - first by truck, then by rail.
Disposal of probes in Prušánky
In March 2025, the abandonment of three production wells in the Prušánky area was successfully completed - specifically wells Prušánky 4b, 6 and 8. Together, these probes opened and produced the Labe horizon in the Middle Baden on the subsiding crust of the Schrattenberg fault system.
Tynivskaya heading for 200 million cubic meters of gas
Even better than the optimistic models expected. The data from the Tynivskaya licence in western Ukraine speak clearly, the deposit has huge potential, which MND Ukraine is gradually uncovering. Daily production is increasing day by day and the biggest limitation is the surface technology, which lacks sufficient capacity and is still being strengthened.
