MND opens new offices in Lviv
More space, more light and room for growth. On 18 November this year, MND Ukraine officially opened its new modern offices in Lviv. The spacious, wood-panelled and airy premises offer employees significantly better working conditions and a representative setting for meetings. The new headquarters in the very centre of the city also allows for further planned growth of the team.
We work even when missiles fly over us, says MND Ukraine's technical chief
The MND Group has been operating in Ukraine for over ten years and, despite the war, it has managed not only to maintain operations but also to gradually develop gas production. However, everyday work takes place in conditions that most of us in Czechia or Germany can hardly imagine. We talked to Volodya Stebletsky, Technical Director of MND Ukraine, about how MND Ukraine works today, what is most difficult and what gives them the strength to continue.
Tynivskaya heading for 200 million cubic meters of gas
Even better than the optimistic models expected. The data from the Tynivskaya licence in western Ukraine speak clearly, the deposit has huge potential, which MND Ukraine is gradually uncovering. Daily production is increasing day by day and the biggest limitation is the surface technology, which lacks sufficient capacity and is still being strengthened.
MND in Ukraine helps children and para-athletes
MND in Ukraine is expanding the scope of its assistance. Representatives of the company signed an agreement with the Olena Zelenska Foundation and supported two of its projects. At the same time, in the Lviv region, they have started sponsoring parasports, contributing to the reintegration of people with disabilities into normal life.
How a dynamic model created in Hodonin helps to produce more gas in Ukraine
The following lines provide an excellent example of how the cooperation between the Czech and Ukrainian parts of MND works. The bearing engineer Milan Pagáč is creating a dynamic model of the Tynivska deposit, where MND Ukraine is successfully mining and continuously increasing production. At the beginning of June this year it was more than 500 thousand cubic meters per day.
The first well at Zukivska will be the most important thing this year. The reserves there are huge.
Successful development of the Tynivska licence, the Girska extension, the acquisition of Pivdeno Girska and the plan for the first well at Zhukyvska. MND has moved up a gear in Ukraine. And they are on track for further milestones. This year, the company wants to reach 150 million cubic meters of gas production in the country. Lukáš Svozil is in charge of MND's Ukrainian operations and spends much of his time on the road.
"Our success is built on two fundamental pillars that complement each other. The first pillar is a strong team in Lviv. The second is the great support from Hodonin," he says.
He believed in Tynivskaya's success, now Volodya Radelytskyi has the same feeling about Zhukyvskaya
Geology is often about experience and intuition in interpreting data. 3D seismic measurements may produce hard data, but they can reveal a lot, and the human factor still plays a significant role. Volodya Radelytskyi knows the underground structures of western Ukraine very well. It was he who strongly recommended that MND buy the Tynivskaya licence. The swampy area at first sight did not have such potential.
Market and storage capacity impacts of the UA gas transit closure
At the end of 2024, the five-year contract between Russia's Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz for gas transit to Europe expired. Ukraine had previously announced that it was not interested in extending the contract, so the gas flow was stopped as of 1 January 2025.
"For the first time, I saw what a Russian missile flyby looks like on seismic footage"
Last year Pavel Kratochvíl participated as a geologist from Hodonín in 3D seismic measurements on the Zukivska licence in the Poltava region in eastern Ukraine. In the interview he describes his experiences from the trip and the specifics of working in the area crossed by missiles.

Construction traffic in the middle of the swamp. Development of the Tynivská deposit continues
Excavators, bulldozers, trucks, and drilling and mining as much as possible. MND is building a new production centre and other infrastructure on the Tynivska licence that will allow it to increase production to over 700,000 cubic metres of gas per day. Let's take a look at what all is being built here.
