How can you earn an extra 10,680 Kč a year from photovoltaics with MND?
Residential solar power is no longer just about saving on electricity bills. If set up correctly, you can also use it as a source of additional income. Let’s take a look at how a solar solution from MND can generate, for example, an extra 10 680 Kč a year – specifically when feeding 4 MWh of electricity into the grid and using the Flexibility service.
Solar Account
The first step is to set up a Solar Account with MND, which is designed for domestic photovoltaic systems of up to 50 kW that do not require a licence. Through this account, MND will purchase your surplus electricity from you with no limit on the volume and at a price known in advance. For the first 2 MWh of surplus electricity, you will receive 1 000 Kč per MWh; for any further surplus, you will receive 500 Kč per MWh. The account maintenance fee is just 60 Kč per month.
Your remuneration from these purchases will, of course, depend on the specific amount of surplus electricity generated, in accordance with the prices in the table.
In our example, for 4 MWh of surplus electricity, you will receive 2 280 Kč per year (2 × 1 000 Kč plus 2 × 500 Kč – 12 × 60 Kč).
Flexibility
Another way to increase the return on your solar power system is to sign up for the Flexibility service, which allows MND to remotely optimise the operation of your power plant – that is, to manage surplus electricity and partially charge or discharge the battery.
In return, you receive a reward based on the instructions actually carried out, as shown in the table below, whilst always being entitled to a guaranteed minimum of 700 Kč per month, i.e. 8 400 Kč per year.
Let’s now summarise how you can earn the 10,680 Kč announced by MND:
You will receive 2 280 Kč for the purchase of 4 MWh of electricity overflows; this varies depending on the volume purchased
You will receive 8 400 Kč for enabling further management of overflows and the battery (a minimum of 700 Kč per month is guaranteed, regardless of the volume purchased)
In total, you will therefore receive 10 680 Kč per year.
How do you sign up for these solar solutions from MND?
Setting up a Solar Account and the Flexibility service is simple and can be done online at www.mnd.cz. This is subject to you having an electricity supply contract with MND.

Drama until the last few meters. This is how one could describe this year's Peace Race, of which MND was the main partner. Young cyclists came to Jeseníky from 25 countries around the world and the final sprint on the finishing straight was the final decision. The athletes had four stages with a total length of over 450 kilometres and an elevation gain of 6800 metres.
