MND at the finish and on the podium. Peace Race in Green
Drama until the last few meters. This is how one could describe this year's Peace Race, of which MND was the main partner. Young cyclists came to Jeseníky from 25 countries around the world and the final sprint on the finishing straight was the final decision. The athletes had four stages with a total length of over 450 kilometres and an elevation gain of 6800 metres. Spectators saw thrilling performances as well as MND logos everywhere there was something going on.
Thursday's first stage connected Krnov with Šternberk and covered 168 kilometres. The fastest cyclists had the MND logo on the podium behind their backs and also on their chests. The green sprinter's jersey was taken by Victor Loulergue from France and the polka-dotted climber's jersey by Cedric Abt from Germany.
On the second day, the cyclists had a stage from Uničov to Rýmařov, where next to the main stage it was green in our MND activation zone, and there were also balloons everywhere for the visitors to receive.
They were welcomed to Rýmařov by our call centre staff (Bára Buňátová, Jana Kovaříková, Karel Svobodník) who explained how they could enter the competition for an electric bike. From the visitors of the Peace Race we drew one lucky winner, Ondřej Dvořáček, who received a voucher for an electric bicycle for 90 thousand crowns on the stage. He will choose the real one according to the size he needs directly at one of Bikero's stores.
Climb to Dlouhé stráně

There were several categories according to age, and it must be added that the older the children, the higher the ambitions they met on the track. And then there were the crashes. Everything went without major injuries, the small injuries were not even noticed by the little racers.
Each of them received small gifts from MND as a consolation prize. The winners of the individual races received a voucher from MND for the purchase of sports equipment to Decathlon worth two thousand crowns, while the second and third place winners received a valuable package of gift items.
On the last day of the Peace Race, the visitors went from Jeseník to Šumperk, where they were again welcomed by colleagues from MND at the activation zone. After the final finish of the cyclists, we ceremonially presented the winner Jitka Gažáková with a voucher for an electric bike. She confided in us that we had fulfilled her dream of standing on the podium - where the cyclists had stood moments before. Specifically, the overall winner Pau Marti Soriano from Spain, the green MND sprinter's jersey was worn by Simone Gualdi and the polka-dotted top rider's jersey went to Italian Riccardo Lorello.
