Summer photo competition: Take Report on holiday with you!

Summer is here, the holiday season is upon us, so we’ve organised a photo competition for you. This time it will be in two stages: you’ll have the chance to win both as a participating photographer and as a member of the public.

How does it work?
Take a printed copy of *Report* with you on holiday and take a photo of it at an interesting location. There are no limits to your imagination or originality. The more interesting the location or situation, the better. We’ll be rewarding the best photos with souvenirs from the cycling races sponsored by MND – the Czech Tour and the Peace Race. You can look forward to prizes such as signed original jerseys worn by the winners of individual stages.

In the second phase, readers will take part in a competition – they’ll have to guess where the photos were taken. We’ll publish them all, and those who guess the most locations correctly can once again look forward to fantastic cycling-related prizes.

Please send your photos by 15 September to redakce@mnd.cz. We look forward to hearing where Report ends up.

PS: A special prize will also be awarded to whoever takes Report the furthest.

Hodonín, five years after the tornado

Five years after a devastating tornado, Hodonín has become a model of comprehensive regeneration of public spaces. Thanks to the collaboration between the town, the Karel Komárek Family Foundation and other partners, dozens of projects have been carried out here, with a total value of over three-quarters of a billion crowns. Karel Komárek, a native of Hodonín, and his wife Štěpánka, whose foundation played a key role in the regeneration, also viewed the results of the transformation during a two-day visit.
